Why choose LanguageCert AÜ TÖMER TürkYet?

Separate Written and Spoken exams leading to two separate certificates.

  • Written and Spoken exams of the same or of a different level can be taken together or independently according to the candidate’s convenience. For example, Speaking can be taken as a standalone exam if only proof of speaking ability is needed.
  • Grammar and vocabulary are integrated into the three sections of the Written exam and are not examined separately.
  • The Written exam is uninterrupted, without time limits per section so that each candidate allocates their time whichever way they choose without having to wait for other candidates to finish.

Can I take LanguageCert AÜ TÖMER TürkYet Written and Spoken exams separately?

Written and Spoken exams of the same or of different levels can be taken together or independently. For example, Speaking can be taken as a standalone exam if only proof of the speaking ability is needed.

Is the Speaking exam taken by candidates in pairs?

No, each candidate is examined individually so they can perform at their best. The Speaking exam is conducted by an Interlocutor who is approved by Ankara University TÖMER and appointed by LanguageCert. The Interlocutor does not assess the exam. The evaluation takes place at a later stage by an Ankara University TÖMER Marker.

Can I use a dictionary in the exam?

You are not allowed to use dictionaries or any other aids during LanguageCert AÜ TÖMER TürkYet exams.

What is the pass mark and what grades are awarded?

You will receive a High Pass, Pass or Fail.

  • Pass mark for the Written exam: at least 50% overall in all sections. No thresholds or limitations per section.
  • Pass Mark for the Spoken exam: 50%.
Does the Test Centre get involved in the assessment?

The Test Centres do not get involved in the assessment. Marking is carried out by Ankara University TÖMER.

Who assesses the Speaking exam?

The Speaking exams are recorded sent to Ankara University TÖMER Markers for assessment.

When will I receive my LanguageCert AÜ TÖMER TürkYet results?

Results are released 20 business days after the exam.

When will I receive my LanguageCert AÜ TÖMER TürkYet certificate?
  • e-certificate: sent with the release of results.
  • Hard-copy certificate: sent a week after the release of results.
Who will inform me of my results?

You will be informed of your results by LanguageCert or your Test Centre.

Will my certificate be sent directly to me?

Certificates may be sent directly to you or to your Test Centre.

How long are certificates valid for?

LanguageCert AÜ TÖMER TürkYet certificates do not expire. However, it is recommended you check whether there are any specific requirements from receiving organisations.

Who do I contact if I lose my certificate?

You will need to contact the Test Centre where you took your exam or LanguageCert.

What happens if I only pass the Written or the Spoken exam?

You will be awarded with a certificate for the exam you succeed in. When you feel ready, you can re-sit the exam you failed. There is no time limit on re-sitting the exam, nor is there a limit to the times you can do so. You should consult with your language school/teacher to decide the best approach.
