Major Win for LANGUAGECERT in Poland: Official Recognition by Ministry of Science and Higher Education

We are delighted to share a significant milestone for LANGUAGECERT in Poland. LANGUAGECERT Academic, LANGUAGECERT International ESOL, and LANGUAGECERT Test of English (LTE) are now formally accepted by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education as valid proof of English language proficiency for international student admissions across the country, following the introduction of a new national regulation.

The regulation, issued on 31 July 2025, specifies the types of certificates that can be used to prove proficiency in the language of instruction for higher education programs (at a minimum B2 level). It outlines the accepted language qualifications for students enrolling in programs taught in a language other than Polish.

Appendix 2 of the regulation lists LANGUAGECERT Academic, LANGUAGECERT International ESOL (4 skills), and LANGUAGECERT Test of English (LTE) 4 skills as officially recognised qualifications for all English-taught study programmes at over 80 higher education institutions in Poland and their branches.

International applicants can take LANGUAGECERT tests remotely via OLP (Online Live Proctoring) or at an HSTC (High-Stakes Test Centre) in their home country to demonstrate their English proficiency.

This development offers multiple benefits for both institutions and students, as universities and colleges gain a globally trusted language testing partner, streamlining the admissions process and boosting their enrolments, while students enjoy greater flexibility and access to higher education opportunities in Poland.

This marks a major achievement for LANGUAGECERT in Poland, and we anticipate that this development will support further growth in the Polish HE sector, where demand for English-taught programmes is accelerating rapidly.
