Mission
As part of our commitment to collaboration and the global language testing community, we offer the LANGUAGECERT Research Awards to support, recognise and celebrate high-quality research in the field of English language assessment.
We are presently offering the LANGUAGECERT UKALTA Award for research on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) considerations in assessment design, development and delivery.

UKALTA Award
This joint award from LANGUAGECERT and UKALTA supports research that enhances knowledge and practice in language assessment through studies that align with shared areas of interest between the two organisations. Starting in 2026, LANGUAGECERT and UKALTA will grant the award annually. For the initial three years (2026–2028), the award will focus on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) considerations in assessment design, development and delivery.
The award provides a £1,000 grant and an invitation to the recipient to present their research at the LTF Conference 2026, also covering attendance costs.
The closing date for submissions is 30 April 2026.
