LANGUAGECERT Academic Panel’s annual meeting in Athens
LanguageCert, 11 June 2025
Last week, the LANGUAGECERT Academic Panel held its annual face-to-face meeting over three days at our headquarters in Athens.
This ninth meeting of an independent group of key admissions decision makers from universities across Europe, North America, China and Australia focused on wide-ranging challenges and changes currently impacting the higher education sector, and how LANGUAGECERT can better support HE institutions, students and other stakeholders.
With the theme "Understanding and Supporting our Stakeholders in International Education", the agenda covered, among other topics, the real-world needs of international students, LANGUAGECERT's Research and Validation programme, including its recently published Concordance Study, and opportunities for AI in assessment and learning. It also addressed LANGUAGECERT's cutting-edge test security procedures around ID verification, and its unique ability to offer international students a range of credentials to strengthen employability options.
This dedicated group of international higher education professionals provides invaluable insight into the sector’s evolving needs through open dialogue and discussion. This is part of our ongoing commitment to listening, anticipating change, and ensuring that LANGUAGECERT Academic remains fit-for-purpose in meeting the needs of students and institutions.
