Liam Vint

is the PeopleCert Portfolio Director for Languages, having previously been Head of Business Development UK and Western Europe. He has over 30 years’ experience in the certification industry, working at Cambridge Assessment and the British Council previously. Liam has an MA from Cambridge University, an MA in TEFL from Reading University, an RSA Diploma in TEFLA, a PGCE (Dist.), and an honours degree in History and Philosophy.

Peter Birdsall

has been involved in leading the design and implementation of international higher education and the recruitment and facilitation of international students in the Netherlands in both the public and private sectors since 1995. Since 2003, Peter and his wife, Maggie Feng, have developed Wittenborg into the family-owned, fully independent business school it is today. With around 1,500 students representing 100 different nationalities and 200 staff members representing over 60 nationalities, Wittenborg is today the most international Business School in the Netherlands. Peter takes a keen interest in policy-making, regionally and nationally, regarding internationalisation, migration, international students and their accommodation, and their employment prospects. Wittenborg is often directly involved in discussions at local, regional, and national levels on these subjects, also representing the NRTO on the board of the National Commission on the Code of Conduct for International Students in Dutch Higher Education.

Thomas Whittaker

works with the University of Central Lancashire (Preston, UK) as an International Recruitment Manager, primarily supporting the work of the global recruitment team, leading initiatives across the South Asia region, and acting as a Business Partner to UCLan’s internationally focused School of Medicine. He has extensive international experience across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, and the Americas, having worked with the University of British Columbia, the British Council, and the University of Bolton over the course of his career. A keen advocate for student success both inside and outside the classroom, Tom’s counselling expertise has helped thousands of students find their best-fit university in terms of academic courses and overall environment. Originally from the small Lancashire market town of Chorley, Tom earned his BSc in Marketing and Master's in Education degrees as an international student in the US.

Mirka Tzilivakis

is the Global Government Relations Manager, focusing on government recognition and tenders. Her diverse experience provides her with a comprehensive understanding of the global professional and language certification market. She is well versed in the best practices and market requirements needed to support higher education institutions realise their international recruitment needs. A native of Toronto, Canada, she holds an Honours BA from the University of Toronto in History and Social and Cultural Anthropology.
