LanguageCert recently participated in the prestigious International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL) conference held in Brighton, UK, where we showcased our latest solutions in English language testing:

• LanguageCert Academic: Tailored for international higher education admission.

• LanguageCert ESOL for Schools: Designed for school learners aged 12 to 16.

Our presence was further enriched by insightful presentations from our assessment experts:

• "Assessment and learning for the digital age" led by Dr. Eoin Jordan, Catherine Jones, and Clare Sheridan, and hosted by Sylvia Karastathi. This session explored the evolving landscape of assessment in the digital era, focusing on personalisation, flexible learning, and the significance of human oral communication skills in the era of Gen AI.
• "Using visual literacy frameworks to facilitate multimodal assessment" presented by Sylvia Karastathi, who shared her experiences in assessing student work within a higher education context, particularly in video presentation projects.

We extend our congratulations to the organisers for curating an exceptional conference program. Notably, the event featured four impactful plenaries delivered by inspiring women, addressing key trends such as AI, equity and inclusion, critical literacy, and multilingualism, highlighting the diverse voices within our field.
